Liverpool remain in the race to sign Paris FC striker Silas Wamangituka, with Galatasaray also keen, according to a report from French publication Le Parisien via Inside Futbol today.
A number of sides across Europe seem set to compete with the Reds to sign Wamangituka, yet Toulouse have been priced out of a move for the 19-year-old.
Even though the French outfit had made Wamangituka their priority signing this summer, their bid was rejected by Paris FC back in June, with the Ligue 2 team wanting at least €6m for his services.
In order to bring Wamangituka to Anfield, Liverpool would have to fight off competition from not only Galatasaray, but Benfica, Lille, Nantes, Club Brugge and Nice, who are all known suitors.
Despite being tied down with Paris until 2021, the club are willing to sell Wamangituka this transfer window; with 11 goals in Ligue 2 last campaign and with plenty of potential, he could prove to be a highly smart acquisition.
