Liverpool have joined the host of European sides interested in signing CKSA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov, according to a report from The Mirror.
Chalov, who is valued at £20m by CSKA, has caught the eye across the continent after scoring 17 goals in all competitions last season, including 15 in the Russian Premier League where he was the league’s top scorer.
At only 21-years-old, the striker has been outed as a big star for the future; this has seen him attract Premier League from not only Liverpool, but Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal.
Outside of England, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Monaco and Sevilla are contemplating a move to add the deadly striker to their ranks.
While he has mainly been touted for his goal scoring antics, 7 assists as well last season has shown his value to the team as not merely a finisher, but someone capable of making goals for teammates.
Although Liverpool want to sign another striker this summer after Daniel Sturridge’s departure and Chalov would be a fine option, the Russian wants to secure regular game time, which is highly unlikely to happen at Anfield.
Having been at CSKA since the age of 8, Chalov is seemingly reluctant to make the switch unless he has the guarantee of playing time and a move which makes sense for his career.
