Harvey Elliot’s official announcement as a Liverpool player seems to be imminent, with the 16-year-old seemingly confirming the deal last night on Instagram in a response to a fan.
When asked by a supporter on Instagram to “just sign for Liverpool mate!”, Elliot responded with a less than subtle three emojis, which you would think would mean his move to Anfield has now reached completion.
The fact the 16-year-old was in attendance to watch Liverpool’s friendly win over Tranmere Rovers yesterday evening should also put any doubts anyone might have had about the deal being done out of the equation.
The Fulham midfielder is set to join Liverpool for nothing after his contract with the Cottagers expired back in June, with the club beating off competition from the likes of Real Madrid and Arsenal for his acquisition.
Klopp clearly already has big plans in mind for Elliot, with the England U17 international set to be immediately integrated into first-team training at Melwood instead of linking up with the academy down at Kirkby.
With a transfer sure to be announced in the upcoming days, you’d expect Elliot to feature during pre-season for Liverpool; joining the tour to the USA would be a strong possibility.
