Despite speculation over a move to Liverpool this summer, PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi has ruled out the possibility of Kylian Mbappe leaving the club this summer, according to a report from The Mirror this afternoon.
“Mbappe will 200% be at PSG next season”, Khelaifi stated in an interview with France Football on the weekend.
The World Cup winner has been linked with a move to Liverpool over the weekend after journalist Paul Joyce retweeted a tweet from the Frenchman on holiday in the USA, although there appears to be nothing substantial in it, and Mbappe won’t be coming to Anfield anytime in the future.
Although Mbappe won’t be leaving the French capital anytime soon, Neymar could potentially be available, so long as a club is willing to match their £200m valuation of the Brazilian.
Arguably the most exciting young talent in world football, Mbappe would certainly be a huge signing should he ever come to Liverpool, but considering his wage, price tag and the presence of both Mane and Salah, I think this is one move that won’t be coming to fruition this summer.
