Liverpool put in one of their best displays of the season, picking up three points against Bournemouth at Anfield this afternoon, with phenomenal showings all over the pitch.
Amidst all the great performances, particularly in midfield, you have to hope one man’s contributions didn’t go unnoticed: Andy Robertson.
Not only did he offer a constant outlet down the left, which we’ve become accustomed to, yet his ability to put in some excellent recovery tackles was crucial to stopping the Cherries from breaking.
Although Wijnaldum will likely come away with all the credit for his sublime lob over Boruc for Liverpool’s second, hopefully it doesn’t detract from Robbo’s assist, with his surging run forward vital for creating the space for Gini to run into.
8 assists already for Robertson this season. He’s so crucial to us. #lfc

Was so mesmerised by Gini’s goal, I’ve completely under appreciated the assist from Robertson.

With today marking his eighth assist of the season, Robbo has been remarkably consistent this season, with the £8m spent on him continuing to look like some of Liverpool’s best business in recent times.
If he continues this vein of form, he is beginning to stake a real claim to not only being the best left-back in England, but in the whole of Europe.
