Despite baring a heavy brunt of criticism from fans after a lacklustre first-half against West Ham, Liverpool supporters were quick in their praise of Naby Keita today for his performance against Bournemouth.
Playing expertly alongside Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum in midfield, Keita oozed confidence and provided a real link between the midfield and the attack, putting in a delightful pass for Firmino which contributed to the third goal.
His vision and passing ability also stood out, with the 23-year-old really seeming to grow into his role after an extended stay in the team.
Let's give him some credit, the goal starts with Keita pressing and releasing quickly

Best half of Keita's LFC career here. Shows he's learning tactically of when and where to be in terms of positioning.
Blocking space, sharp passing, not overly ambitious etc. It's all there

Quality goal from Liverpool that shows what Keita brings to this team. Fantastic pass. Keita gets a lot of stick, but his class is undeniable.
He’ll come good.

Improving game after game, you can see from today why Klopp went to such lengths to sign Keita from RB Leipzig and a midfield of Fabinho, Wijnaldum and Keita looks perfectly balanced, especially with the Guinean given the licence to push forwards.
With Keita though, you have to feel as if there is much more to come.
