Liverpool have begun talks with Brescia over the potential signing of midfielder Sandro Tonali, according to a tweet from Italian journalist Nicolo Schira this evening.
#Liverpool has opened talks for Sandro #Tonali. Reds scout has watched him in #BresciaSpezia today. Cellino wants for the young midfielder (born in 2000) €35M. Roma, Juventus, Milan and Inter also heavily interested for the next season. #transfers #LFC

Schira states that Liverpool had scouts watching the midfielder in action against Spezia in Serie B this afternoon, where he impressed by scoring in an enthralling 4-4 draw.
With Roma, Juventus, Inter and Milan all interested in acquiring Tonali’s services, the U19 Italian international may be reluctant to move to England; Liverpool may also be hesistant to pay the €35m Brescia are asking for.
Having featured in 18 games for Brescia this season and picking up the award for Serie B’s Footballer of the Year in 2018 and still only 18-years-old, Tonali’s star is on the rise in Europe and his passing range and technical ability is already drawing comparisons with Italian legend Andrea Pirlo.
Only time will tell if Tonali will go on to have a career just as good as Pirlo; even if half as good, it will have forged himself a very successful career.
