Liverpool held their position atop the Premier League table with a victory over Brighton this afternoon, with one player unsurprisingly proving to be the difference maker yet again — Mo Salah.
Although the first-half was rather substandard and frustrating with the Reds failing to manage a shot on target, the second-half was significantly more productive, with the Egyptian being a pivotal part in Liverpool managing to pick up the three points.
He did excellently to win a penalty off Pascal Gross who manhandled him in the box before calmly converting the ball past Button; his persistent ability to drop deep also pushed the game into Liverpool’s favour and made them look the superior side.
Fans were suitably impressed by Salah once again, with the star demonstrating just how vital he is to this Liverpool side:
Salah coming deeper in the second half has completely changed the game.

How relentless has Salah been these last couple of months…and people said he'd be a one season wonder. Hate to say it but he's comfortably the best in the league

Even though the Reds were far from their free-flowing best, one moment of brilliance helped turn the game in Liverpool’s favour and it is often these moments that will be key in regards over who lifts the Premier League title in May.
