Liverpool crashed out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle with a defeat to Wolves last night — little surprise considering some of the players Klopp decided to line up with.
Although there were poor performances in abundance from the Reds, there was one player in particular who earned significant ire from fans — Alberto Moreno.
After complaining to the media about his lack of chances under Klopp, you would have expected the Spaniard to come out and deliver a top performance but it was anything.
Looking completely disinterested, Moreno was partially at fault for the first goal by losing possession of the ball, while even his attacking threat, which is usually regarded as his strongest asset, was virtually non-existent.
In my eyes it's easy: if you complain about lack of game time, you have to earn it when you then get the shot. Alberto Moreno never does, yet he still complains. It's a privilage to play for a club like Liverpool, and he simply hasn't earned it. It's the same at any top club.

I’m not surprised about us conceding. Do you know why? Alberto Moreno. A rare Milner mistake and Moreno pushes himself miles forward when he’s the only ‘natural first team’ defender. Might as well not be on the pitch.

Alberto Moreno is absolutely robbing a living

Alberto Moreno can barely play football, nevermind defend

And I really, really, really hope that was the last time we ever see Alberto Moreno in a Liverpool shirt.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season and no new deal forthcoming, this is likely to be Moreno’s final appearance in a Liverpool shirt — I think many will be in agreement when I say that’s a blessing.
