Roberto Firmino broke a Premier League milestone after his hat-trick against Arsenal this evening by overtaking ex-Liverpool man Phillipe Coutinho to become the highest scoring Brazilian in Premier League history with 43 goals.

Firmino was in superb form against the Gunners; although the first goal had many deflections and may have been a little fortuitous, there was nothing lucky about his second. Firmino skipped past the Arsenal defence, leaving Torreira and Mustafi on their backsides before slotting it home.

Liverpool fans will be delighted to see Firmino overtake Coutinho at the top of the Brazilian scoring charts in the league and I’m sure that figure will continue to grow throughout his tenure at Anfield.
