Jurgen Klopp confirmed in the press conference prior to the Arsenal game tomorrow that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return to full training as early as February or March — news which is sure to come as a massive boost to supporters.
“Best news he has started outside”, said Klopp after it was confirmed that Oxlade-Chamberlain had resumed light running outside at Melwood for the first time in months.
“There was no reaction which was even nicer.
“No pressure on him but it looks like February/March he could be back in normal training.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain has yet to feature for Liverpool since suffering a knee injury back in the first-leg of the Champions League tie against Roma back in April.
The injury was a debilitating setback for the former Arsenal man, who went on to miss the Champions League final and World Cup.
Although it was initially thought he’d miss the entirety of the season, it seems as if the Ox could play a fundamental role in the title race after all.
