Alisson’s tweet clearly shows his surprise at the criticism, especially considering he had the ball kicked out of his hand by Cork and was later instrumental in Liverpool leaving Turf Moor with all three points after an outstanding save late on to deny Burnley an equaliser.

Fans were unanimous in their support of Alisson on social media, who has been one of the player’s of the season since his £65m arrival from Roma in the summer and it is now two games in a row that he has saved Liverpool from potentially dropping points.

Alisson is clearly unfazed by criticism and considering the high esteem Liverpool fans hold him in already, he should know just how valuable he is to the team.
