Liverpool put in another below par display in Europe to lose 2-1 at the Parc des Princes this evening, with the Reds now requiring a win against Napoli on the final matchday to ensure qualification.
Almost all of the side was slammed by fans, with the defence criticised for lack of alertness, the midfield being flat and lifeless, while there was a lack of potency in attack.
However, there was one man who was exempt from criticism: Alisson.
The scoreline could have been far worse if it weren’t for the Brazilian, who made a smart save to deny Di Maria early on, while was quick off his line to gather from Cavani.
Fans were quick to praise Alisson on Twitter, who has already gone a long way to justifying his huge £65m price tag:
Alisson, have my kids, just have them.

Alisson has been proving yet again why he’s one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Feel sorry for him he doesn’t deserve to have conceded 2 goals.

Alisson had a 9/10 performance. Not only made lots of saves was very quick off his line sweeping and snuffing out danger. Was outstanding.

If it wasn’t for Alisson that game would of been embarrassing

Alisson was the only saving grace in Liverpool’s display and PSG could easily have had 3 or 4 if he weren’t in goal.
