Sadio Mane has agreed a new deal today that will extend his stay at Anfield for the foreseeable future, confirmed by Liverpool’s official website.
Mane was clearly overjoyed about signing a new deal, stating that “I am very, very happy to extend my time at Liverpool”.
“It is a great day for me and now I am looking forward to everything – to helping the team, to helping the club achieve our dreams and, especially, to win trophies.
“I’ve always said, when I knew I had a chance to come here I didn’t have to think twice. The right club in the right moment and with the right coach as well. I came here and was very happy.
“For me, I have made the best decision in my career.”
The deal is thought to be at around £150,000 a week and rewards the Senegal star after his incredible displays since his arrival, including 20 goals last campaign, with 10 coming in the Champions League.
Mane has proved to be a fantastic signing ever since his £34m move from Southampton back in 2016 and now joins fellow attacking counterparts Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah in committing their long-term futures to Liverpool.
