Liverpool are interested in PSV winger Steven Bergwijn according to outlet Sport.
Considering his age (21) Bergwijn has a fair amount of first team experience over in the Eredivisie and became the 4th youngest player ever to reach 50 wins for the club.
Bergwijn would represent the versatility of being able to slot in on either side of the field in place of Salah or Mane, and possibly challenge for a place in future if his potential is fulfilled.
Usually such a talent would be held to an inflated price tag, however it is believed that the player has a release clause of just £17.5 million which Liverpool could trigger, proving to be a bargain in today’s market.
Manchester United join Liverpool in their interest for the youngster, while it remains to be seen who he’d favour, Klopp surely would have the first choice given the direction and current state of the two clubs.
