Jurgen Klopp, as usual, didn’t give too much away in terms of transfers in his latest press conference. But, the German has hinted that incomings could still be on the agenda.
Klopp was asked straight up whether there had been any developments in terms of incomings, or if the Liverpool manager had any plans for potential incomings. His answer was subtle, yet teasing.
“We’ll see,” Klopp said.
“I have no idea what will happen in the next two days.”
In terms of outgoings however, the boss was very coy on Danny Ings’ Liverpool future.
“Can I say No comment?” Klopp said when asked which clubs were intersted in the forward. The topic was left at that.
Ings made it clear back in July that he wanted to seek a move away from Liverpool to revive his career.
Whilst this news wasn’t music to Klopp’s ears, the manager understood where he was coming from. Now, if a suitable offer comes in, the ex Burnley striker will be allowed to move on.
Crystal Palace and Southampton appear to be leading the race for his signature with a fee upwards of £20m being demanded.
It is believed that Liverpool are confident an agreement can be made for Ings upwards of £20m and that’s another testament to Sporting Director Michael Edwards.
