Liverpool are on the verge of making another signing this summer with highly rated youngster Ki-Jana Hoever joining the academy at Kirkby. According to Goal, the 16-year-old right back will join up with the Reds and end his time at Ajax.
The report goes on to add that Liverpool managed to beat English rivals Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City to the signing of young Hoever.
Hoever, is the latest young star to leave Netherlands this summer. The exodus began when Chelsea purchased young defender Ian Maatsen from PSV.
Manchester City followed this trend by acquiring striker Jayden Braaf and now it looks increasingly likely that Liverpool have snapped up Hoever.
The 16-year-old right back who can play in the heart of defense as well, had an option to sign a professional contract with Ajax Amsterdam but the lure of Liverpool was too much for him to turn down.
The signing of Hoever adds to the promising talent that is currently at the disposal of Under 18s manager Barry Lewtas. Having already signed England youth player Bobby Duncan from Manchester City and Chelsea’s Isaac Christie-Davies, the Reds academy is getting another of Europe’s most wanted teenage stars in Hoever.
