Liverpool target and FC Porto full-back Alex Telles is a man in demand, and Portugal source O Jogo report that Juventus and Bayern Munich have both had bids rejected in the region of €35million.
The left back, who is often referred to as being very offensive, can also play as a left winger or a left midfielder, offering the versatility that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp desires in order to add depth to his squad.
Signing a player with the versatility that Telles possesses is certainly a quality that Klopp is looking for, allowing him to have enough cover for the front three in particular for the upcoming season.
However, the Brazilian is contracted until 2021, and has a rumoured release clause of €40 million. It was rumoured last month that Liverpool were “ready to lock horns” with fellow Premier League outfit Chelsea, in order to sign the player.
Telles endured a successful season for FC Porto, having scored 3 goals and assisted towards 13 in 30 appearances in the league which saw Porto crowned league champions, but he also scored 1 goal in 7 games in the Champions League. For those who understand their options for betting on football, this would be a great opportunity for looking at total goal scored bets.
With Liverpool, Chelsea, Juventus and Bayern Munich all reportedly interested in the Brazilian, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the player. After finishing 25 points behind Manchester City in the Premier League last season, Jurgen Klopp is looking to add serious depth and backup options to his squad in order to challenge for the title in the upcoming season, both on the domestic and European stage.
