Liverpool Target Alisson Becker is reportedly almost certain to leave AS Roma this summer, and according to Italian outlet Di Marzio, the goalkeepers agent has allegedly scheduled a meeting with AS Roma on the 17th July, as his agent is anticipating a bid from either Liverpool or Chelsea.
Alisson has been the subject of lots of interest over recent months, due to his displays for Serie A side Roma, which saw him cement his place as Brazil’s number 1 at this summers World Cup.
It was rumoured that Liverpool were battling with Real Madrid for the Brazilians signature, but after Los Blancos sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, they are prioritising other transfers instead.
This means that the only two teams showing solid interest now are Liverpool and Chelsea, with Loris Karius not having won over Liverpool fans with his recent performances, and Chelsea seemingly not being able to keep Belgian shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois happy at Stamford Bridge.
Alisson endured a great season at AS Roma, having kept 17 clean sheets in 37 appearances in Serie A, and showed the world his skillset; great passing ability, confidence on the ball, and confidence when saving close-range shots.
It is estimated that Alisson would be attainable for a fee of approximately £60 million, and Di Marzio reports that ahead of the meeting scheduled between Alisson’s agent and Roma, the Italian club are also considering PSG’s Areola and Copenhagen’s Olsen as possible replacements.
