Liverpool have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Bordeaux winger Malcom.
It was believed that the highly rated 21-year-old had agreed on a deal to join Italian giants Inter Milan.
However, the player’s agent, Fernando Garcia has rubbished these claims and maintains that the Brazilian could still move to a number of clubs.
Speaking earlier in the week, Garcia said: “There’s no deal at all with Inter.”
“They are of course a great club, but Malcom is a professional, and, all things considered, the right formula can’t be no buy-back option.”
Garcia’s comments will come as a lift to Jürgen Klopp, who is thought to be keen on bringing the playmaker to Anfield if the opportunity arises.
Last month, an article published on GFFN (Get French Football News) by Sud-Ouest claimed that Garcia had recently flown to England to discuss a potential move for his client with both Liverpool and Chelsea.
The report goes on to suggest that although neither meeting resulted in any solid interest for the player, both clubs are expected to be monitoring his situation throughout the summer.
Malcom found the net 12 times in 35 Ligue 1 appearances last season and it is anticipated that he would cost around €50m.
For that sort of price, would you like to see the Brazilian make the switch to Merseyside?
