Liverpool have signed midfielder Isaac Christie-Davies on a free transfer from Chelsea, Anfield Edition understands.
The 20-year old midfielder wasn’t handed a contract extension at Chelsea and was available on a free transfer.
Christie-Davies had a trial with Liverpool back in March and was successful, putting pen to paper on a deal to join the Reds’.
The Englishman has followed a similar pathway to Dominic Solanke who aimed a dig at Chelsea’s academy when he joined Liverpool back in 2017.
“Every time I see Liverpool, there’s such a family nature, there’re a lot of young players doing well at the club, so I think it will be a good place for me to develop my career,” he said.
“As a young player, you always want to see the club you’re at pushing young players through.”
In other news, Yan Dhanda is close to sealing his move away from Liverpool and will join relegated Swansea.
