Despite recently suffering yet another injury which was rumoured to end his season, Adam Lallana could be set for a surprise early return.
The England midfielder was originally aiming to return to full fitness for pre-season, but it turns out he may be ready to join first team training sessions in a week or so, providing he doesn’t suffer any setbacks as he did upon his last return. Klopp wont want to rush back Lallana but the club’s injury crisis in midfield brought upon by Oxlade Chamberlain’s serious knee injury and Emre Can’s absence means Liverpool are left with just 3 fit midfielders.
With the Champions League final in sight Lallana will no doubt push to return early and likely make an appearance from the bench sometime soon. Without his return Liverpool are currently left with zero midfield options to call upon as a substitution!
