Jurgen Klopp is facing a selection dilemma ahead of their Champions League quarter-final clash with Manchester City tomorrow evening.
Klopp is likely to have just 19 squad players available for selection and needs to name an 18-man squad, meaning he could use his ‘wildcard’.
The players currently available for Klopp to select are as follows:
Karius, Mignolet and Ward
Van Dijk, Lovren, Clyne, Robertson, Moreno, Alexander-Arnold and Masterson
Henderson, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Milner
Mane, Salah, Firmino, Ings and Solanke
Joel Matip, Adam Lallana, Emre Can, Joe Gomez and Ragnar Klavan are all unavailable for selection tomorrow through injury.
Jurgen Klopp needs to decide whether to include Conor Masterson on the team sheet, or use his wildcard. Klopp has until 23:00pm to name a wildcard.
The wildcard allows a club to name an extra player to make the matchday squad in a Champions League fixture.
Clubs must ensure that by using a wildcard, they still respect the requirement to have eight home-grown players in their squad.
The likely candidates for Klopp’s wildcard are Curtis Jones, Ben Woodburn, Rafael Camacho and George Johnston.
Over to you Jurgen…
