NEW: Jorginho’s Agent Confirms Interest


The summer transfer window is nearly upon us and many clubs are already making their moves early. With the window closing before the league begins in England next season, the majority of clubs are already in negotiations with agents.


Jorginho is one player who is tipped for a move to England for the 2018/2019 season. The Brazilian-born Italian International is highly sought of after a stellar season with Napoli.

Jorginho has all the attributes to be a success in England. As, a number 6, he possesses a wide range of passing skills and has excellent vision.

Recently, Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos, sat down with RMC Sport to discuss the player. When the discussion turned to the midfielder’s future, Santos told RMC Sport We’ll talk about his contract situation at the end of the season. If the club wants to do something, we are ready to talk after May 20.”

He further stated: “Jorginho is happy at Napoli, he is first choice in a team that is challenging for the Scudetto.  He is also first choice in the Italy squad, so it’s only normal some English clubs will ask for information. Having said that, there is nothing official.”

The Reds will face competition from both Manchester clubs for Jorginho’s signature. However, with Manchester City’s widely published 3 man shortlist of transfer targets which consist of Thiago Alcantara, Wilfied Zaha and Kylian Mbappe, it looks like both Liverpool and Manchester United are the front-runners for Jorginho’s signature.


Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis announced recently that his side will play Liverpool in a pre-season game in Dublin, Ireland during August.

Many eager Liverpool fans took this information as a sign that Jorginho will indeed sign for the Reds in the summer. To add to the rumours about the potential signing of Jorginho, Liverpool fans all over the world were getting their hopes up when the midfielder ‘liked’ a post on Instagram which urged the midfielder to sign for the Reds.
