With everyone refreshing their internet browsers waiting for an update, supporters will have to wait even longer. According to Anfield HQ the Senegalese winger will have to wait until the swelling has gone down for definitive results.
The winger limped off during Saturday’s 3-1 win against crosstown rivals Everton. He had a scan on Sunday but there was too much swelling to know exactly what had happened to his knee. With no useful results from the initial scan Anfield HQ reports that another scan was likely taken today. As it took 24 hours for yesterday’s scan to produce results it will take the same amount of time for today’s scan.
It is almost certain that Mané will be ruled out of Wednesday’s match against Bournemouth and he is likely to remain sidelined for Liverpool’s trip to bet365 Stadium to face Stoke City. With just 8 matches remaining in the 16/17 campaign Klopp will be hoping for positive news.
We will update you as soon as more news comes out.
