Heading into this weekend’s matchup against West Brom the usual suspects find themselves on the injury report once more. Liverpool will be without Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson and of course Sadio Manè.
Klopp confirmed that Lallana and Henderson will continue to be sidelined for Liverpool’s trip to The Hawthorns this weekend as they continue to battle with thigh and foot problems respectively. The pair just returned from their trip to the USA in a bid to recover in time to play a part in Liverpool’s top-four run.
The boss said that he is hoping the midfield pair will both feature before the month is over. Henderson, who has not featured since Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Tottenham, has no exact time scale on when he will return.
“…it’s not a fixed time until he is back. We have to wait until he feels absolutely nothing, that’s how it is. That’s what we are still waiting for.”
Klopp said about the captain.
“For the Watford game again, with Jordan it could be next week in training, could be the week after.” Klopp went on to say.
However, Klopp did say that he is hoping to have Adam Lallana back for Liverpool’s May 1st match against Watford.
“With Adam, it is a little bit easier to say…he will be in normal training and that means then [for Watford] he is in the squad or we can think about him then.”
Sadio Manè underwent surgery on Tuesday in London to repair meniscus damage in his left knee.
Manè offered a positive outlook saying,
“I will give my very best after yesterday’s successful surgery to be back on the pitch as soon as possible and be even better than before.”
Liverpool, who will be seeking their first away victory against a Tony Pulis side in the Premier League, travel to the West Midlands to play 8th place West Brom.
