After missing three consecutive matches with a foot injury Jordan Henderson is set to miss yet another. The Liverpool captain has been ruled out of Sunday’s trip to Manchester as the Reds play Manchester City.
“The international break, these two weeks, can bring him back, but there’s no game possible.”
Klopp on Henderson’s availability.
After playing 90 minutes in every match (4) for England since Gareth Southgate took over he is set to miss their upcoming World Cup qualifiers. England are set to face Germany (friendly) and Lithuania (World Cup qualifier).
Henderson last featured for Liverpool in their 2-0 win over Tottenham on the 11th of February. Since his injury the reds have gone on to take six out of a possible nine points without their captain. Klopp is hoping to see the midfielder return to light training during the international break.
“He cannot train. Hopefully he can run in the second week of the international break and then we have to see.”
Liverpool will be without their captain when they travel to Manchester to face 3rd place Man City. With the last game being a clutch victory, can the reds win another game without Henderson?
