It has been confirmed that the Brazilian playmaker is set to be sidelined for 5-6 weeks with an ankle injury.

 

The Echo revealed that the in form winger is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The Liverpool man has had 5 assists and 5 goals; leading the team. He is also third in the premier league in shots on goal with 48, only behind strikers Ibrahimovic and Aguero.

He has been a key part in Klopp’s tactics that have seen Liverpool rise to second in the Premier League table.

Going off of last year, Liverpool may be set for a dip in form. In 9 games that Liverpool played without Coutinho, they only won 2 games.

Coutinho is set to miss 6 games:
Liverpool vs. Leeds United (EFL Cup)
Bournemouth vs. Liverpool
Liverpool vs. West Ham
Middlesbrough vs. Liverpool
Everton vs. Liverpool
Liverpool vs. Stoke City

It is said that Liverpool are hoping to have their star man back before the December 31 matchup with Manchester City at Anfield.
