Liverpool are looking into acquiring the services of Bourissia Möenchengladbach’s highly rated player Mahmoud Dahoud, reports Tony Barrett.
Tottenham, Manchester United and Manchester City have all been linked with the u21 star but Liverpool are hoping to use Klopp as pulling power in securing the deal. The player is reputable for his technical ability and strong stamina, and Klopp is said to be a personal admirer of the Serbian born star.
Without the potential allure of Champions League football, something now only realistically ascertained through the winning of the Europa League, the success of the deal could be hampered.
Dahoud shares the same agent as Samid Yesil and Emre Can, another factor the Reds hope to use to their advantage.
James Pearce shares the skepticism:
“Liverpool face an uphill battle trying to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud this summer.”
The fee is said to be around £20million.
